It was in 1954 that the brothers Domenico and Luigi Merlin (who are still active in the company)
opened the first "workshop". Since then, Alpenmöbel has continuously evolved and has grown from a small carpenter’s workshop into a small factory while conserving intact the tradition and manual skills typical of a handicraft heritage.
The company has always produced bedrooms in wood both for the home and for hotels, but it was in the 1990s, when the second generation joined the management of the company, that the hotel sector became its main focus.
Through its careful attention to the quality of all its products and organizational innovations at all levels, Alpenmöbel has acquired a prestigious role in the hospitality furniture sector.
